An amazing cedar tree resting on the beach at Kiana Lodge, located on Sandy Hook in Suquamish. This was a beautiful peaceful morning, with the water lapping at my watercolor paints as I sat in the sand, and the gulls calling. This painting is a new technique for me, using washes, and taking my time on various parts of the painting. Andrea at Roby King Gallery told me that one of her artists, who's work I admire, takes one month to do a painting! With that information, I really focused, took time, and created what I saw that day. Andrea said that when we find our personal style, our work shows it, and that I would find "Ted". I found Ted in this piece, and trust I can find him again.
