Quiet Morning in Port Madison

1 comment:

  1. A quiet Fall morning at Port Madison on Bainbridge. The water was calm and mostly brown and green, reflecting the evergreens on the far shore. The green boat belongs to the Lhamon's, and I was intrigued by the old log and rock ballast at the shoreline, left over from the sailing ship days when they dumped ballast for the return to Califrnia with lumber. This was the site of one of the largest lumber mills in the world at that time.
