  1. A beautiful fall morning painting at Battle Point Park on Bainbridge Island. The pond surface was very still, with the red winged blackbirds headed south, and a few joggers running, and dogs walking their owners.
I approached this painting by selecting the view carefully, and staying focused on what nature had provided as a subject. Then with a stand up easel and small round brushes, I started with the reflected cattails and white tree trunks, and worked out to other adjacent area of the painting. This made relationships and scale of objects consistent, and relatively accurate.
Two hours passed quickly, and the scene was etched on my mind, when I made finishing touches at home. Simple things to get me away from forgetting to relax, truly look at what nature has produced, and take time to enjoy the plein air process.
    (17" x 11") $1,600

  2. What a beautiful and delightful yellowish green of resurrection, Although you've created it in Autumn; you must have met a Muze at that time.
Conceiving the calmness of yellowish green reflection is like having a moment of meditation although name of the park was Battle Point. Also love your wink of humor "dogs walking ther owers".Thank you for sharing.
