Ducks out for a swim in the Kiana Lodge salt water lagoon. Amazing reflections of the cerulean blue sky and puffy white clouds and a stand of stately douglas fir trees set this inviting sun swept scene! The lodge was built in the 1930's, is currently owned and managed by the Suquamish Indian tribe, and rented out for weddings and special events. Our plein air painting group had a wonderful day of painting and conversation about art materials, life, and even about the art of tidying up!
