The newly dedicated "John Nelson" Park on Bainbridge Island. John donated land to the City of Bainbridge many years ago, and due to the hard work of Jerry Elfendahl and City staff, the old Cannery Park has recently been renamed to honor the original gift.
The woman enjoying the view from the bench works at Virginia mason Clinic, and comes here often to de stress and find peace and quiet. While I was painting, botanists were monitoring the native plants on the site providing habitat for wildlife and creating a spawning area for salmon and other fish.
Thank you John Nelson and Family! (17.5" x 11.5") Gift to the Nelson Family
