A warm spring day at the marina on Bainbridge Island. The bright sun was shining, and all of a sudden, the water became calm, and a light rain began falling. The drops in the water were perfectly round, and I just sat at the end of the dock mesmerized, put a shirt over my painting and thrilled to just take it all in, and get refreshingly sprinkled! After a few moments, the rain stopped, and I uncovered my paper, and began painting again. An unforgettable plein air treat! The lovely yawl is the Querencia, which the owner has beautifully restored. This painting will be in an art show at the PUB restaurant during July and August. (11.5" x 15") $425
This painting sold recently and may be shown in a new restaurant to be opened in Seabeck. We'll just have to trot on over and give it a try! Ted Hoppin
