Two Black Angus friends who live on a farm in the Pleasant Valley area, east of La Conner, WA. U.S. Navy jets were flying overhead making approaches to the Whidbey Island NAS. I had to put one in the sky! Four members of my plein air group and I spent three wonderful days painting, and this was one of my favorite subjects. We were perched on a hot country road painting this delightful barn and house, along with the curious cattle. I am introducing glazes in my painting resulting in a more translucent appearance. Jeanne Dobie's book "Making Color Sing" explains this technique. (12" x 18") NFS...I'm not ready yet to let my new friend go!

I am not a farm boy, so if anyone has better information please let me know. They are quite small in stature.
Thanks,
