The Bailey House Museum, Maui

  1. This is lovely old home built by a missionary teacher in the 1800's, which was a Seminary for Hawaiian girls. It was turned into a museum in 1957, and has a terrific collection of Island artifacts and photos. The garden has many native Hawaiian plants as well as non-natives typical of the missionary era.
This is a nice way to do travel watercolors, using a Micron ink pen, limited palette, and small brushes.
The architecture is unusual with one of the prettiest brick chimneys I have ever seen!
