A perfect plein air day, calm, sunny weather, and this historic light house as a subject. Fisherman (and two women) were casting and catching silvery salmon on the beach behind me. At first, I had the tower a tad too narrow, and am happy at the adjustment to a squatter structure. I painted standing at an easel, which allows me to be bolder and braver. For me, the Puget Sound light houses are the guardians of the boaters and vessels that travel the straights. Functional art at its highest. (15.5" x 11.5") NFS
