A former Nike missile site built to provide protection against Russian bomber attack, is now an Island park, with playgrounds, a dog run area, and ceramic crafts kilns. The entrance has one of the original metal posts from the military days, and an open air ceramics building, with a large metal stack. Sculptural artifacts showing past and present uses for the site.
