  1. This view is of Agate Pass, looking east, at the north edge of Bainbridge Island, from Old Man Beach in Suquamish. The Agate Pass bridge is to the right, connecting Bainbridge Island to the Kitsap Peninsula.
It was a sunny warm morning with a very low tide. A small heron worked the shoreline coming within 20 feet of me. With my tripod easel, it must have thought I was a related species. it caught a huge fish and gulped it down quickly. A group of 30 students came by (probably 5-8 years old), and a young lad walked up to me and said, "I am an artist too". I asked if he did watercolor, and he said he did, as well as acrylic and oil! It took me 70 years before I said I was an artist, and I am still on shaky ground when I do. One of the things I like best about doing plein air is the people that I get to meet.
    (10.5" x 13.5") $350
